How data gets into Opus

Opus is designed to work with the data you already have.

Scheduled file imports. Most institutions send staff, course, unit, and allocation data to Opus as CSV files over a secure transfer connection. Imports run automatically on a regular schedule, so Opus stays in step with your source systems without anyone uploading files by hand.

Flexible file formats. Your files don't need to match a rigid template. Column mappings are configured per institution during implementation, so you can usually send data in the format your systems already produce.

Data warehouse and API connections. Opus can also connect to data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, and supports API-based integration where a direct connection makes more sense.

During implementation we work with your IT team to set up the connection, agree the file formats, and test the imports end to end. If you'd like the technical specifications for your integration, contact your implementation manager or our support team.
