Roles in Opus

Opus gives each type of user a view designed for their job.

Educators see their own workplan. They can review their allocations, check their hours against targets, and sign off on their plan when it's ready.

Managers see the workplans of the staff they supervise. They review, adjust, and approve plans, and can track which plans are still in draft, waiting for sign-off, or finalised.

Administrators manage the system for a faculty, school, or department. They set up activity types and calculation rules, manage data imports, and run reports. Admin access is hierarchical, so a school administrator sees their school and a faculty administrator sees everything beneath them.

What you can see and do in Opus depends on your role. If you think you're missing access you should have, talk to your institution's Opus administrator first.
