The workplan lifecycle
Every workplan in Opus moves through a clear set of states, so everyone knows where things stand.
Draft. The plan is being built. Allocations can come in automatically from your institution's systems or be added manually. Both the educator and their manager can see the plan taking shape.
In review. The plan is ready for sign-off. Depending on your institution's workflow, this means the educator confirms their plan, the manager approves it, or both sign off in sequence.
Finalised. The plan is approved and locked. It becomes the agreed record of the staff member's workload for the planning period.
Opus tracks every version of a workplan, so you can see what changed, when, and by whom. If something needs to change after finalisation, your administrator can reopen the plan, and the version history keeps the full audit trail.
Workplans can cover a semester, a trimester, or a full year, depending on how your institution plans.
